In 2023, Greg and Christie Salazar felt burdened to pray, “Lord, what would you have the Salazar family give our lives to?” In answer to that prayer God rekindled a long-held desire and sense of call, that began in 2011 to plant a church. Specifically, they felt called to plant a church near the urban core of a metropolitan city and near a university campus. Studies were revealing that those spaces increasingly had a higher percentage of folks who were without a church home, and church planting had been shown to be the most effective way of engaging them.

Finding Freedom Ranch is a Christian non-profit organization in Byron Center, Michigan seeking to serve young women battling with eating disorder. Started by a local family as the result of their own journey with eating disorder, it is their vision that young women who come to Finding Freedom Ranch would find peace with God, peace with themselves, and peace with food.

Through the gospel truth and the encouragement of a mentor, young women will be equipped to stand in their newfound freedom by exploring the depths of their external battle, their emotional insecurities, and their spiritual identities.

Finding Freedom Ranch offers workshops, support groups, and other ways to support the Find Freedom Community. They also have a prayer circle that meets once a month to pray for those battling and for the mission of Finding Freedom Ranch. They are also in the process of building a residential treatment center unlike any other of its kind in Michigan – a gospel-based ministry that works toward healing the heart of an eating disorder with the mind of Christ.

Ben and Anna Graber and their children serve with Mission to the World in Munich, Germany. In Munich, Ben serves in pastoral and music ministry and Anna in women’s and children’s discipleship for new local churches. Ben also teaches and mentors students at Martin Bucer Seminary, and together, they receive and train new missionaries for service in German-speaking Europe through Team Munich’s “incubator” program. Through these ministries, they hope to nurture a Reformed, biblically faithful church-planting movement in Munich and beyond.

Brent serves with Harbour City Church and its Reformed University Fellowship ministry on four Sydney campuses, teaching at various trainings and events.
